Worm Breeder's Gazette Author Instructions

Text: Contributions to the Worm Breeder's Gazette should be submitted as Microsoft Word document files using a 12 point font (preferably Times New Roman). Single line spacing should be used for the body of the text. Each contribution, including tables, figures and references, should fit into a single standard sized page with one-inch margins throughout.

Title and attributions: Each submission should have a title and a list of the author's names and affiliations. The corresponding author should be indicated, and contact information for the corresponding author included.

Tables: Tables should be formatted and inserted into the text as you wish them to appear in the published Worm Breeder's Gazette.

Figures: If your contribution includes figures, please submit your Word file with the figures inserted as you wish them to appear in the Worm Breeder's Gazette.

In addition to the Word document, authors should also submit figures as separate high-resolution files in the following formats: vector images should be EPS, SVG, or Adobe Illustrator files (scalable image). Rasterized line art should be in PNG or JPEG at 600 dpi. Raster images (ie micrographs) should be in TIFF format at 300 dpi or greater.

Movies: Movies should be Quicktime format. Authors should indicate in the text where movies should be inserted.

References: The PMID/accession number should be included when citing any and all references. In-text references should be formatted as the following examples: (Chalfie et al., 1994 PMID: 8303295) or (Fire et al., 1998 PMID: 9486653; Sulston and Horvitz, 1977 PMID 838129). Any references cited in the text should also be listed below the text as in the following examples:

Fire A, Xu S, Montgomery MK, Kostas SA, Driver SE, and Mello CC. (1998). Potent and specific genetic interference by double-stranded RNA in Caenorhabditis elegans. PMID: 9486653

Sulston JE and Horvitz HR. (1977). Post-embryonic cell lineages of the nematode, Caenorhabditis elegans. Dev. Biol. 56, 110-156. PMID: 838129
